Alley & John

December 19, 2026

If we had it our way, we’d probably disappear into a quiet, cozy world of our own somewhere warm, a little magical, and far from any kind of schedule. But love like this was never meant to be kept small.

So in the middle of December, under soft lights and winter skies, we’re gathering the people who mean the most to us to celebrate something that’s been a long time in the making. There will be laughter, a little chaos, and more love than we know what to do with… we just need you there.

With Love, Alley & John

The Couple

Alison (Alley) Broussard & John Sanders

Like many modern love stories, ours began online on a dating website that neither of us expected to find anything meaningful on. In fact, John was about to delete his profile right before Alley reached out (rude). It was the first time either of us had ever dated someone we met online, but from the start there was an easy connection between us.

It didn’t take long before we realized something special was happening. If you ask Alley, John proposed on day one. If you ask John, he insists he was “just joking.” Either way, we were pretty smitten from the beginning.

We actually met during a time when both of us were in the middle of big life transitions. Alley was in the middle of a separation, moving, and beginning her master’s degree, while John was recovering from a work injury and temporarily living with a longtime friend 85 miles away. Life was a little chaotic for both of us, but somehow we found each other right in the middle of it.

From the very beginning, John embraced not just Alley but also her daughters Makiah and Lily with love and enthusiasm. Every other weekend he would make the drive from Baker to Berwick just to see them which, for those familiar with Louisiana traffic and bridges, is basically the modern version of a grand romantic gesture. He would patiently wait in the car to pick Alley up like a true gentleman.

Since then, we’ve shared many adventures together, both big and small. Recently we moved into our first apartment together, and we’re excited about the future we’re building side by side including the dream of buying our first home soon.

In a world where we were unlikely to ever cross paths, somehow we found each other and we think that’s pretty beautiful.

Now we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with the people we love most. We hope you can make it.

(And yes, John still insists he didn’t propose on day one… but the texts say otherwise buddy.)

Maid of Honor

Kailyn Broussard

Kailyn is one of the most creative and free-spirited souls you’ll ever meet. Whether she’s painting, crafting something beautiful for her home, or tending to her garden with music or a podcast in her ears, she has a way of turning everyday moments into something special. She has a big heart for animals, a love for reality TV, and never passes up a good game night especially when it involves Magic: The Gathering or Phase 10 with the bride, Alley, her stepmother Mindy, and her sister Darrian.

You’ll often find her at the library on arts and crafts days with her best friend Ashley, right where she belongs creating, laughing, and enjoying the little things. She has always been one of the bride’s daughters, and her place in the family is as natural as it is deeply cherished.

Her bond with her sister is built on love, loyalty, and a whole lot of shared memories. No matter what life brings, they always find their way back to each other with laughter not too far behind.

Best Man

Curtis Davis

Curt is the kind of friend who instantly makes people feel comfortable. Friendly, funny, and always ready to laugh, he has been an important part of John’s life for many years. From the very beginning, John admired how knowledgeable he was about gaming and building PCs, but what truly made their friendship last was how naturally easy it always felt to be around him.

Over the years, their friendship has been built on countless late nights, nonstop inside jokes, and more gaming sessions than either of them could probably count. Most weekends, you can still find them online together staying up until five or six in the morning playing games, laughing over absolute nonsense, and somehow turning every conversation into another running joke. According to John, practically every night together becomes its own inside joke.

Curt is definitely the more competitive one of the two, especially when gaming is involved, but that competitiveness has always been part of what makes their friendship so entertaining. Whether they are diving into hunts together in Monster Hunter Wilds, talking about anime, or listening to classic rock late into the night, they have built a friendship rooted in shared interests, loyalty, and genuine connection.

One moment that has always stayed close to John’s heart was when Curt met Alley early in their relationship. It meant the world to him that his best friend and the love of his life connected so naturally, and that the people he cared about most could all laugh, talk, and enjoy each other’s company together.

Even though adulthood has taken them in different directions at times, distance has never weakened their friendship. No matter how busy life becomes, they always find ways to stay connected and make time for one another. To John, that consistency and effort means more than words can really express.

Above all else, Curt is someone who brings humor, energy, and loyalty into the lives of the people around him. He has been there through countless adventures, victories, chaotic gaming nights, and important life moments, and John is deeply grateful to call him not just his best man, but one of his closest lifelong friends.

Bridesmaids

Darrian Whitehead

Darrian is one of those people who brings warmth, laughter, and comfort wherever she goes. Whether she’s spending time with her friends and family, curled up binge-watching a show with her dogs, or grabbing a mic for karaoke (and yes, Ice Ice Baby might make an appearance), she has a way of making every moment feel a little more joyful. Her fun-loving spirit has always been there going all the way back to her days as Veruca Salt in her elementary Charlie and the Chocolate Factory play.

She is a hardworking and incredibly talented esthetician who is truly thriving, building a life she can be proud of and creating a beautiful little family of her own. Watching her grow into the woman she is today has been something so special, and she continues to inspire everyone around her with her strength, heart, and determination.

To the bride, she is so much more than a stepsister she is a bonus sister, a built-in best friend, and someone who has been there through life’s hardest moments. She is deeply loved, endlessly appreciated, and someone the bride will always hold close. Their bond is one of loyalty, understanding, and unconditional love, and it is something the bride cherishes more than words can fully express.

Alyssa Hill

Alyssa is the bride’s first cousin and, in so many ways, like a sister. Growing up side by side, their childhood was filled with laughter, imagination, and countless shared memories from playing mermaids in the pool every summer (and very seriously debating who got to be Aquamarine), to playing Barbies, Sims marathons, and time spent on her Wii. They never missed each other’s birthday parties, and those years were full of the kind of moments that turn into lifelong stories.

As kids, the bride even babysat Alyssa and her brother Tyler, creating a bond that has only grown stronger with time. Through the years, they have shared so many laughs, memories, and milestones, while also supporting one another through some of life’s hardest moments.

Today, Alyssa has grown into a hardworking, driven, and compassionate young woman. She worked incredibly hard to become a dental hygienist, and it is something the bride is endlessly proud of.

To the bride, Alyssa is someone who means the world to her, someone she has grown up loving and will always stand beside. She hopes Alyssa knows just how deeply she is loved and that no matter where life takes her, she will always be there for her.

Ricki Daigle

Ricki is the bride’s aunt and the youngest sibling of her mother though growing up, their relationship often felt more like a mix of aunt, big sister, and occasional partner in mischief. With a bit of an age overlap, the bride likes to joke that she came along and stole Ricki’s “youngest” spotlight, which led to plenty of playful torment and teasing over the years but also a bond that has always been full of love.

Some of the bride’s favorite memories are the countless sleepovers at Ricki’s house eating pizza rolls, drinking Coke, playing games, and just being together. From trips to Stevensville to adventures with keko that turned into lifelong memories, Ricki has always been a steady and caring presence in her life.

Ricki’s dedication to her children, Hunter and Conner, is something to truly admire. She has spent years showing up at games, at events, and in all the moments that matter most. Her love extends beyond her own family as well, from taking photos at local sports games so other parents can cherish those memories, to being a devoted and loving godmother.

She has a big heart, a contagious laugh, and a gift for storytelling that brings people together. To the bride, Ricki is someone who has always been there, and someone she couldn’t imagine this day without.

Rachelle Granger

Rachelle is the bride’s godmother and aunt, the eldest sibling of her mother, and someone who has always held a special and steady place in her life. From countless sleepovers to the many warm, laughter-filled moments they’ve shared, her home has always felt like a second home to the bride (and a place where staying “just one more night” somehow happened more times than anyone could count).

She has a vibrant spirit and a love for life that makes every moment with her feel special. Whether she’s sharing stories, spending time with her family, or showing up for the people she loves, she does so wholeheartedly. Her dedication to her family is something truly admirable, always making sure she is present for the moments that matter most.

Rachelle is also an incredible nurse who works tirelessly to care for her patients with compassion and strength. Recently, she reached a major milestone by graduating, a reflection of the hard work and determination she has poured into building herself up something the bride deeply admires.

To the bride, she is someone who has always been there through every season of life offering love, support, and guidance. She could not imagine this day without her and will always cherish the role she has played in her life.

Jordan Richard

Jordan is the bride’s best friend, partner in crime, and a constant presence through nearly two decades of life. For 17 years, she and Alley have grown up side by side through every phase, every challenge, and every memory in between. Their friendship is built on laughter, loyalty, and a bond that time has only made stronger.

When she’s not spending time with the people she loves, you’ll likely find her immersed in a video game with her long-distance gaming crew, fully in her element. She also has a heart for giving back, volunteering with the Audubon Society in Baton Rouge to help tag birds and track their migration and health something that speaks to her patience, care, and quiet dedication.

Her current favorite song, “Think About Things” by Daði Freyr, is one she loves, much like the years of memories she and the bride have built together. Through every season of life, she has remained a steady, loving, and irreplaceable part of Alley’s world.

To the bride, Jordan is more than a best friend she is chosen family. The kind of person who shows up, stays, and loves deeply. Standing beside her on this day feels like a full-circle moment, and there is no one more fitting to share it with.

Payton Stevens

Payton is the fiancée of the bride’s cousin, Hunter, and from the very first meeting, she felt like family. She greeted everyone with a warm hug and quickly found her place in the hearts of those around her, something that has only continued to grow with time. Today, she is truly a member of the family in every way that matters.

She is a dedicated and compassionate nurse who has worked incredibly hard to get where she is today. Alongside Hunter, she has built a beautiful life, recently celebrating both their engagement and the purchase of their first home milestones that reflect their love, commitment, and future together.

To the bride, Payton is someone she is deeply grateful for. The love and support she has brought into Hunter’s life is something that means more than words can fully express. Seeing his happiness and that unmistakable smile brings a sense of peace and joy to everyone who loves him.

She is kind, caring, and effortlessly brings warmth wherever she goes. The bride could not be happier to have her standing by her side on this special day and truly cannot imagine getting married without her. She looks forward to building many more memories with Hunter and Payton, sharing in their laughter, and being there for all of life’s big moments. The bride will always have their backs and is proud to have Payton as a member of this family.

Groomsmen

Holt Slaughter

Holt is the kind of friend who feels like he has always been there. Having known each other since our younger years, John honestly cannot remember a version of life where Holt was not part of it. From the very beginning, John remembers thinking he was quirky, hilarious, and completely unapologetic about being himself, something that has never changed.

Their friendship has been built over years of shared memories, gaming weekends, Discord calls, and countless laughs. Whether they are catching up online, talking about life, or joking around late into the night, there has always been an easy sense of connection between them that never really faded with time.

One thing people quickly learn about Holt is that he has a huge personality and somehow an even bigger ability to survive on alarming amounts of Monster Energy drinks. After serving in the Army National Guard, he carried that same hardworking and dependable nature into the rest of his life and friendships.

Some of John’s most meaningful memories with Holt come from the moments when life was not easy. When John moved back to Louisiana from Kentucky, Holt opened his home to him without hesitation. It was a kindness John has never forgotten. Later, when Alley and the girls came into John’s life, Holt welcomed them too, even though neither of them were particularly used to having little ones running around. To John, that acceptance and generosity meant far more than words can fully express.

The two also shared time in JROTC growing up. They connected through similar passions, shared experiences, and the kind of friendship that quietly grows stronger over time.

Outside of gaming and spending time with friends, Holt has a huge love for dogs and a personality that naturally brings energy and laughter wherever he goes.

To John, Holt is far more than just a longtime friend. He is someone who showed up when it mattered most, someone dependable, loyal, and genuinely good-hearted. Through every stage of life, Holt has remained a constant presence, and John is incredibly grateful to have him standing beside him on one of the most important days of his life.

Trey Sullivan

Groomsman and Best Friend of the Groom

Jeremy McConkey

Groomsman and Best Friend to the Groom

Jamie McNamera Jr.

Jamie is the kind of person who can make an entire room laugh within minutes of walking into it. Quick-witted, honest, and unapologetically himself, he has a personality that people naturally gravitate toward. He is a cut up in the best way possible, always ready with a joke or a sarcastic comment, but underneath the humor is someone incredibly genuine, hardworking, and deeply loyal to the people he loves.

One of the things John admires most about Jamie is his resilience. No matter what life throws at him, he refuses to stay down for long. Even during moments where he felt like he had failed, Jamie always found a way to pick himself back up, push forward, and become stronger than he ever imagined he could be. He goes after what he wants wholeheartedly and never believes in doing anything halfway.

Their relationship has always been built on a mix of brotherhood, friendship, and absolute chaos in the best way. Some days they are serious and there for one another through life’s hardest moments, and other days they are laughing until they can barely breathe. Whether playing online games together whenever life allows the time or reminiscing on childhood memories, their bond has remained steady through every stage of life.

Some of John’s favorite memories growing up involve the two of them gaming together. From proudly beating Jamie at Mortal Kombat to tricking him into “playing” video games with a disconnected second controller as a kid, their childhood was full of harmless chaos and nonstop laughter. One memory that still makes John laugh to this day was convincing Jamie to play the infamous maze game online with the volume turned all the way up. When the jump scare from The Exorcist suddenly flashed across the screen screaming, Jamie slapped the monitor multiple times and nearly tripped trying to run away. According to John, he has never laughed harder in his life.

Beyond the humor, Jamie is someone John knows he can always count on. He has been not only a good brother, but also a true friend throughout his life. He values family deeply, treasures his relationship with the love of his life Sage, and makes time for the people who matter most to him.

When he is not making people laugh, you can often find him spending time hunting or fishing with his father, moments that continue to be important to him no matter how much life changes around him.

At his core, Jamie is someone who brings joy, honesty, loyalty, and energy wherever he goes. To John, he is family in every sense of the word, a brother who has helped make life louder, funnier, and far more meaningful.

Flower Girls

Lily May

Lily is the bride’s youngest daughter and will be serving as one of the flower girls on this special day. As the youngest of three, she shares a close bond with her siblings, Makiah Griffin and Draven May, and brings so much light and joy to her family.

She has a creative spirit and dreams of becoming an artist when she grows up. Whether she’s singing her heart out or drawing in her free time, she finds happiness in expressing herself and letting her imagination shine. She also loves playing outside, spending time with her friends, and filling her days with fun and laughter.

Lily’s favorite color is pink, and she has a soft spot for collecting teddy bears something that perfectly matches her sweet and loving personality. She truly enjoys being surrounded by the people she loves most.

To the bride, Lily is a constant source of joy, love, and inspiration. Watching her grow has been one of life’s greatest gifts, and having her as a flower girl makes this day even more special.

Makiah Griffin

Makiah is the bride’s eldest daughter and someone who shines in everything she sets her mind to. She is independent, creative, and driven, with big dreams of becoming a criminal psychologist and attending Louisiana State University.

She is a devoted sister and loves spending time making TikToks and sharing laughs with the people she cares about most. Makiah is a gifted artist whose work has been displayed in local art studios, and her creativity continues to grow in everything she does. She is also a talented dancer, having been in dance since she could walk and a proud member of her local dance team for the past two years.

In addition to her artistic talents, she has been playing the flute for three years and continues to expand her skills and interests. She enjoys reading, learning about hair and makeup, and spending time with her best friends. She also loves K-pop, especially bands like Stray Kids, and brings that same energy and passion into her everyday life.

To the bride, Makiah is someone she is endlessly proud of. Watching her grow into such a strong, talented, and determined young woman has been one of life’s greatest joys and there’s no doubt she’s going to do incredible things.

Braylin Johnson

Braylin is the bride’s oldest godchild and her sister’s only daughter growing up surrounded by five brothers, she has developed a strong, fearless personality with a heart that’s just as big as it is protective. She may have a tough attitude, but those who know her best know she has a soft spot for animals and the people she loves most (and fair warning you definitely don’t want to mess with them, because she won’t hesitate to step in).

She is fiercely loyal, always looking out for her family, while still keeping things fun with the kind of teasing and laughter that comes with growing up around siblings. She loves taking care of her cat, Miso, spending time with her friends, playing Roblox, and watching K-pop bands and dramas especially alongside Makiah.

Braylin has grown up right alongside Makiah, forming a bond that feels more like sisters than anything else. To the bride, she holds a very special place in her heart, and it has been such a joy to watch her grow into the strong, loving, and spirited young girl she is today.

Jordynn Alfultis

Jordynn is the groom’s niece and the only girl among five siblings, which has helped shape her bold, independent, and wonderfully unique personality. She moves through the world in her own way, unapologetically herself, and brings a special kind of energy wherever she goes.

She has a creative mind and a strong love for art, whether she’s drawing, exploring architecture, or building imaginative worlds on Roblox. Her curiosity and creativity shine in everything she does, always finding new ways to express herself.

Jordynn also has a great sense of humor and loves anything that makes her laugh. She can often be found being silly, enjoying time with her family, or watching her favorite shows. She has a love for horror movies and anime, balancing her spooky side with a playful, lighthearted spirit.

To the Bride and Groom, Jordynn is someone who brings joy, creativity, and individuality into every space she enters. They are incredibly proud of her and could not imagine this day without her.

Ring Bearers

Steven Kober

Steven is the bride’s oldest nephew and second oldest godchild, and one of the sweetest, most easygoing boys you’ll meet. As the oldest brother in a house full of siblings, he has naturally stepped into a role of both leader and playmate, keeping up with all the energy that comes with being surrounded by brothers.

He has a big love for dinosaurs and plants, always curious and excited about the world around him. Whether he’s playing Roblox, spending time with his siblings, or running around with his cousin Lily May (who is truly his best friend), he brings a fun, playful spirit everywhere he goes. And if there’s a chance to have a sleepover at his nanny’s house, he’s all in.

Steven is kind-hearted, hardworking, and does his best both at school and at home something the bride is incredibly proud of. Growing up in a house full of boys may come with its fair share of rough-and-tumble moments, but through it all, he continues to show just how sweet and thoughtful he really is.

To the bride, he is deeply loved, and it has been such a joy to watch him grow into the caring, curious, and strong young boy he is becoming.

Trevor Kober Jr.

Trevie is the bride’s godchild, the middle child of five, and the second oldest boy, and he carries that role exactly how you’d expect with just the right mix of charm, mischief, and personality. If there’s a little chaos happening, chances are Trevie is somewhere nearby with a grin that says he knows exactly what he’s doing.

He has a playful, mischievous spirit (Loki definitely comes to mind), paired with a surprisingly caring heart for his brothers and sister. He’s rough and full of energy, always ready to play outside, jump into a game, or keep up with whatever the day brings.

Trevie loves playing Minecraft and Roblox, spending time with his mom, and coming over to “Alison’s” house especially when it means games, laughter, and hanging out with Lily. He’s quick wit, always keeping things interesting and making sure there’s never a dull moment.

Right in the middle of all the chaos, Trevie brings personality, humor, and heart to his family. To the bride, he is so deeply loved, and it has been such a joy to watch him grow into the bold, spirited, and caring boy he is today.

Lynnox Kober

Lynnox is the bride’s godchild and the fourth of five siblings, bringing his own special kind of light and personality into the family. As one of the younger ones, he keeps everyone on their toes in the best way, with a mix of curiosity, playfulness, and just enough mischief to keep things interesting.

He is a true character, always exploring, always learning, and always finding his way into whatever is happening especially when the adults aren’t looking. But more than anything, Lynnox has the sweetest heart. If you ever need a hug, he is the first one there, ready to love on everyone around him without hesitation.

With his bright smile and joyful spirit, he brings warmth and laughter wherever he goes. As he gets ready to begin school, it’s clear that he is growing into a kind, curious, and loving little boy.

To the bride, he is so deeply cherished, and it has been such a joy to watch his personality shine more and more each day.

Nodley Kober

Nodley is the youngest of five and the youngest boy, carrying a special family name passed down from his grandfather a name that holds deep meaning and connection. Even at a young age, he already brings so much personality, love, and joy to everyone around him.

He loves spending time with his “Alison,” always ready to play, laugh, and soak up every moment together and if he had it his way, he’d probably sneak off for a sleepover every chance he gets. He has a big love for dinosaurs, enjoys playing with his mom, and embraces the world with a mix of curiosity and confidence.

A true mama’s boy at heart, you can often find him right by her side, holding on tight and finding comfort in her presence. At the same time, he has a quiet toughness about him, a reminder that even the sweetest hearts can still be strong.

Nodley is gentle, loving, and full of life, and to the bride, he is deeply adored. Watching him grow into his own little person has been nothing short of special.

Hunter Daigle

Cousin to the bride.

Father of the Bride

Nodley Mark Broussard Jr.

Nodley (Mark) is someone who has always shown up steady, dependable, and fiercely loyal to the people he loves. He has been a constant presence in the bride’s life from the very beginning, the kind of father who will do anything for his children, and when his family needs him, there is no hesitation.

When Lily was in the NICU and flown to New Orleans, he made sure he got there as fast as he could because that’s who he is (and anyone who knows him knows speed limits don’t stand a chance when his family is involved). His love shows up in action, in presence, and in the quiet but powerful way he makes sure his family is never alone.

He is a hard worker with a heart of gold, shaped by discipline, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility. He is also someone who will tell it exactly like it is, offering the honesty and grounding the bride has always needed. And while he can be tough when it matters, he also has a playful side loving to laugh, be a little silly, travel with his children, and spend time with his grandchildren.

Nodley is the son of Nodley Mark Broussard and Ann Marie Verrette and was raised by his grandmother, Ozite Guidry. He is the youngest of three siblings, alongside his sisters Paulette Ann Broussard and Jennifer Claude Mathis, and carries with him a deep sense of family and strength.

He is the proud father of Kailyn Broussard, Alison “Jr.” Broussard (a nickname that has definitely stuck whether she likes it or not), Darrian Whitehead, and Grayson Broussard, and the devoted spouse of Mindy Melton, who has been a loving and steady presence in Alison and Kailyn’s lives for many years.

To the bride, he is deeply loved and endlessly appreciated. He has been her protector, her guide, and her constant. Having him walk her down the aisle is not just a moment it is a reflection of a lifetime of love, support, and him always being right there when she needs her most.

Mother of the Bride

Raven Granger Broussard

Raven Granger Broussard became a mother at just 17, bringing the bride into the world after a long and difficult delivery that showed, from the very beginning, the strength it would take to walk that path. Life asked a lot of her early on, and much of her journey has been shaped by doing what she could, in the ways she knew how, to make it through.

She has a creative spirit and a love for art, finding moments of expression and beauty in her own unique way. She is known as “Nana” to the grandchildren, a role she holds close to her heart and one that brings her joy.

Raven has lived a life that required resilience, learning to navigate challenges in survival mode while still holding onto the people she loves. Her story is one of complexity, strength, and enduring connection.

Family, in all its complexity, is something the bride holds with both honesty and compassion. Including her mother in this day reflects that truth the recognition of where she comes from, the experiences that have shaped her, and the hope that continues forward.

Father of the Groom

Kelly Sanders

Kelly is a man who believes in hard work, honesty, and doing things the right way the first time. He is the kind of person who tells it exactly like it is, never cuts corners, and expects the people around him to carry themselves with respect and integrity. Stern when he needs to be but lighthearted in the moments that matter, he has always been a strong and steady presence in John’s life.

From a young age, he taught John the importance of respecting others, respecting himself, and taking pride in whatever work he put his name on. Whether in business, family, or everyday life, he instilled in him the belief that nothing worth doing should ever be half done.

Some of John’s favorite memories with his father were the times spent hunting and fishing together. Those trips became more than hobbies, they were rites of passage and moments of genuine bonding between father and son. Through those experiences, he taught John patience, responsibility, and the importance of gun safety, while also creating memories that would stay with him forever. John still laughs remembering that after he killed his first deer, his father handed him his first beer to celebrate.

John will also always cherish the trips they took catfishing at Old River, quiet moments spent together that became some of the most meaningful memories of his childhood. Whether on the water, in the woods, or on the road together, those experiences built a bond rooted in trust, respect, and time well spent.

He is someone people often describe as tough, blunt, or even intimidating at first, but the people closest to him know there is deep loyalty beneath that rough exterior. He is dependable in times of need, someone his family can count on no matter what. And once you get him laughing, the room tends to remember it.

Outside of family life, he loves history, especially watching the History Channel, and is happiest when he is keeping busy outdoors. Whether working outside, spending time with his children and grandchildren, or relaxing at home in his signature cut-off sleeveless shirts and his shorts, he is unapologetically himself in the best way possible.

John also treasures the memories of traveling with his father on hot shot trips across the United States as a child. Those long drives and shared experiences became some of the most meaningful bonding moments of his life and helped shape the relationship they share today.

Above all else, he values his family, his grandchildren, his beloved wife Melissa, honesty, faith, and hard work. To John, he is more than just a father. He is someone he deeply admires, respects, and loves wholeheartedly, a man who helped shape the person he is today.

Mother of the Groom

Donna McNamera

Donna is warmth in human form. She is fun, bubbly, deeply loving, and the kind of free spirit who makes people feel safe simply by being around her. Her heart has always been open wide for the people she loves, especially her children and grandchildren, and she has spent her life making sure the people around her feel seen, valued, and deeply cherished.

To John, she has always been one of the easiest people in the world to talk to. No matter the situation, no matter the hour, she will answer the phone. Through every high and every low, she has remained a steady source of comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love. She is the kind of mother who never gives up on people. She believes in grace, in growth, and in giving others every chance possible to become who they are meant to be.

She taught John to hold his head high, to never look down on himself, and to always strive to be better than he thinks he can be. Even in difficult moments, she has always reminded him of his worth and encouraged him to walk through life with kindness, honesty, and heart.

Some of John’s most treasured memories are the simple moments spent beside her. He fondly remembers going with his mom and sister Courtney to auctions and garage sales searching for TY Beanie Babies, little adventures that became magical simply because they were together. On school test days, she would play “Pocket Full of Rainbows” by Elvis Presley on the drive to school, turning nervous mornings into moments filled with comfort and love.

One of the memories he will hold closest forever is going to see Alice Cooper with her. They laughed, sang along, cut up together, and shared one of those perfect days that stays with you for the rest of your life. It is a memory woven with joy, music, and the kind of bond only a mother and son can share.

She has always had a creative soul. From arts and crafts to antiquing and exploring estate sales, she finds beauty and meaning in the little things. Today, she has built a shop of her own through hard work and passion, something John admires deeply and takes great pride in watching her accomplish.

Above all else, she values family, faith, compassion, and being there for others in their moments of need. She loves life, loves her husband James wholeheartedly, and pours love into every person lucky enough to know her.

If there is one phrase that captures her heart perfectly, it is the words she has always told her family: “I love you to the moon and back.”

To John, she is so much more than just his mother. She is comfort, acceptance, laughter, encouragement, and unconditional love all wrapped into one beautiful soul. She has been one of the greatest blessings in his life, and the love she has given so freely is something he will carry with him forever.

Wedding Party Style Guide

Dress the Part

We know our wedding party is a little on the large side but every single person standing with us is someone who means the world to us. These are our favorite people: the friends and family who have supported us, laughed with us, and been part of our lives in ways we’ll always be grateful for. We truly couldn’t imagine celebrating this day without each and every one of them by our side. And let’s face it… we’re basically having a full parade of loved ones walking down this aisle.

This page is here to help our wedding party find everything they need for the big day, including what to wear and any details that will help make the day run smoothly.

Maid of Honor Attire:
Our Maid of Honor will be wearing a navy blue ankle-length dress to match the wedding colors. Please pair the dress with white sandals or flats for a comfortable and elegant look. Hair and makeup can be styled in whatever way feels best for you, and we will have a hairstylist and makeup artist available on the day of the wedding to help everyone get ready. The overall look is simple, classic, and ready to celebrate!

Bridesmaids Attire:
Our bridesmaids will be wearing steel blue, ankle-length dresses to complement the wedding colors. Please pair the dress with white sandals or flats for a comfortable and coordinated look. Hair and makeup can be styled in whatever way feels best for you, and we will have a hairstylist and makeup artist available on the day of the wedding to help everyone get ready. Flower Girls Attire:

The goal is a sweet, simple look as they help lead the way down the aisle.

Best Mans Attire:
Our Best Man will be wearing a navy blue suit with a white button-up dress shirt, a steel blue tie, white dress socks, and black dress shoes. A simple black suspender should be worn with the suit. The overall look is classic, clean, and coordinated with the wedding colors. (See link at bottom of page for tux rental)

Groomsmen Attire:

Ring Bearers Attire:
Our ring bearers will be wearing dusty sage dress pants with a white dress shirt, dusty sage bow tie, black suspenders, and black dress shoes. The overall look is classic, coordinated with the wedding colors, and perfect for helping carry the rings down the aisle. (See below for links)

Suit & Tux Rentals for Best Man and Groomsmen:
To help make things easy for our Best Man and Groomsmen, we have set up a group order through Generation Tux. A link will be provided below. Once you click the link, simply select your name and the pre-selected suit will appear. From there, just follow the instructions to enter your measurements and complete the rental order.

Please note that the suits selected on this site are not an exact color match to the wedding palette but are the closest available option and will coordinate nicely with the overall look of the wedding party.

Of course, you are also welcome to purchase or rent a suit from another retailer if you prefer.

Ring Bearer Outfit Suggestions:

We weren’t able to find the exact dusty sage pants we were looking for through the tux rental service, so for our ring bearers we are keeping things simple and affordable. Amazon has several great options for dusty sage dress pants (typically under $30) and black dress shoes (often under $25).

We’ve included an amazon list below with our suggestions to make things easy, but families are welcome to purchase similar items from anywhere that works best for them.

If you’re part of this parade of amazing humans, thank you for standing with us. We love you more than you know.
